Types of coffee beans
Most coffee beans are two varieties of coffee: Arabica and Robusta.

- Its cultivation requires a tropical climate, but it can grow to any altitude.

- Green coffee beans: beans that have not been roasted. They, therefore, contain higher levels of chlorogenic acid, an organic acid that may have beneficial effects in people with heart disease or diabetes.

- Decaffeinated coffee: the beverage of choice for people who love coffee, but who do not appreciate the energy boost that comes with it. Decaffeination occurs when unroasted green coffee beans are boiled and rinsed with a solvent.
- Organic coffee: the organic coffee producers grow grains without chemicals, pesticides or herbicides which promote environmental conservation. Many feel that the taste of the coffee is the best.
Factors to consider when buying coffee beans
